Business Overview

Led by Ema Yuasa, the dance and dialogue workshops, which explored the use of the body as a communication tool, and workshops for dancers continued. Building on the relationships forged with participants, Yuasa, along with fellow collaborator Jija Song and documentary film director Masaru Miyai, began a six-month, interview-based research project on the theme of "separation" and the accompanying grief/sorrow. In January 2025, Yuasa, Song, and Miyai presented a dance piece that explored the inner workings of people struggling with the current, unmanageable reality, while simultaneously confronting daily life. Unlike the previous two exhibitions, which took the form of a show, the creation of the dance piece allowed participants and audiences who had little prior experience of performing arts to be able to communicate the powerful artistic expression possible only through physical expression.

Profile

【 Nosmosis Executive Committee 】
Through dance as a communication tool, it is an activity that puts more emphasis on the process and research by trying to communicate with people who have difficulty connecting with art due to physical, mental, environmental, generational, and social differences. We aim to create a flexible platform for people to experience the joy of living together through workshops, performance work, and other activities, and to think about mutual relationships and coexistence.
