Business Overview
Since the 'Musashi Fuchu Local Karuta Cards' have been distributed to third graders at elementary schools in Fuchu City since 1973, when they were first published, they are no longer used, so the purpose of the 'Local Karuta Cards' is for parents and children to have an interest in the history, culture and nature of Fuchu, and for the children who will shoulder the responsibility of Fuchu City in the future to have lasting fond memories of the city as well as to know about our town and develop a love for their hometown in order to preserve local activities and assets for future generations. Targeting grade 3 students from 22 elementary schools in Fuchu City, 1 male and 2 female students from each elementary school were selected in an individual tournament system with the cooperation of after-school children's classrooms before the final round. The preliminary round for children participating on the day will be held in the morning on the day of the final round. The finals will be held separately for boys and girls in the lower and upper grades. By holding familiar karuta tournaments, they set the goal of achieving good results, which leads them to learn more enthusiastically, and by continuing these tournaments, we believe that more children will develop a love of their hometown.

[Association to Consider the Utilization of Fuchu City's Heritage]
The purpose of this association is to propose the recognition and utilization of Fuchu's heritage to citizens by conducting activities related to Fuchu's heritage. In order to foster a love of the local area through the use of 'local area cards' distributed to elementary school students in the city, activities are being carried out mainly to spread awareness of 'local area card' monuments in various places in the city, produce picture books of Fuchu, and promote Fuchu City.
