Business Overview
The international film festival "25 th Tokyo Filmex" will be held for 9 days from November 23 to December 1 at Yurakucho Asahi Hall and Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho. It introduced 25 feature films to Japanese audiences, with a focus on the latest works by Asian directors who have made headlines at film festivals around the world. Georgia's Der Krumbegasvili's April won the best film award in the competition, while British/Indian director Sandia Sri's Santosh won the Special Jury Award and the Student Jury Award simultaneously. The Taiwanese production of White Coat by Singaporean director Zhang Wei-liang (co-director: Yin Yo-chao) won a Special Mention, while the overall program audience award went to competition jury member Lou Ye's latest film Unfinished Film. From November 15 to 21st, the pre-event "Only now! On Screen: 25 Years of Tokyo Filmex" was held at Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho, where all six films were shown.
