Profile
【 General Incorporated Association Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra 】
The Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, which was reestablished as a general incorporated association in 2022, decided on its activities for the last 5 years at the planning meeting in August last year under the mission of "leading the world's wind instruments." Among them, Takeshi Oi, who will become the permanent conductor from April this year (2024), and other members of the planning committee agreed to perform all the symphonies (excluding orchestral music) of Maslanca (1943-2017) in the cyclus over several years. This is an epoch-making project not only for the Japanese brass band industry but also for the world. Based on the scale and difficulty of the work, and the recognition that it spreads the splendor of modern brass band widely, we will lead the music of brass band in our country.
