Business Overview
As a measure to further promote the creation of art and culture in Tokyo, this project shared with participants the production process of Ko Murofushi's exhibition, which will be held in Vienna this summer, through workshops, lectures and practical instruction by experts. The participants shared various activities for the exhibition, such as Kei Osawa's "Record of Dance - From Archive to Exhibition," a conversation between Emmanuel Yuin and Tatsuro Ishii, "The Present Situation of Dance - Challenges and Transformation in France," Emmanuel Yuin's WS "Faux Pas," Susumu Kihara's exhibition WS "After being out of focus - Making" Murofushi Ko Exhibition "while being out of focus," Hidehiko Narita's photo WS "Photograph as a Record," and other discussions on "Anti-Dance" and presentations starting from the production of pictorial records. Ko & Edge, a general incorporated association, is the operating body of the Ko Murobushi Archive, and opened a space called Shy, housing Murobushi's books and materials, in Shinjuku, Tokyo on March 14, 2016. In addition, as a base for Murobushi research by researchers from Japan and overseas, it hosts a series of symposiums and study groups, disseminating information on an ongoing basis, and also hosts a variety of projects.
