Project Overview
[Year 1: Project Overview]
This project aimed to further promote the creation of art and culture in Tokyo, and this summer, participants shared the production process of Ko Murofushi's exhibition held in Vienna this summer through expert workshops, lectures, and practical guidance. Kei Osawa's 'Records of Dance—From Archives to Exhibitions,' the dialogue between Emmanuel Uin and Tatsuro Ishii, 'The Current State of Dance—France's Challenge and Transformation,' Emmanuel Uin's workshop 'Faux Pas,' Susumu Kihara's exhibition 'After Getting Scratchy—Creating the Ko Murofushi Exhibition While Getting Blurry,' Hidehiko Narita's photo workshop 'Photographs as Records,' and others... While sharing various activities leading up to the exhibition, such as dialogues around 'Anti-Dance' and presentations starting with catalog production, the organizers were able to gain many hints about curation and exhibition throughout the process.

[Year 2: Project Overview]
He held exhibitions about Ko Murofushi at the Impressanz Vienna International Dance Festival and in Tokyo. Both exhibitions featured archival materials such as posters, photographs, video works, and related books, as well as symposiums that encouraged multi-layered dialogue. Additionally, alongside the exhibition, various textual materials, including exhibition catalogs, were incorporated as components of the exhibition space as devices that form the underlying current of thought. Through this multidisciplinary approach, we have created opportunities to encourage deeper reflection on the subject of the "body," while also reconsidering Tokyo's cultural appeal as a hub for Butoh, contributing to enhancing its dissemination power.
