Business Overview
The purpose of this project, "Orchestra Project," is to share and present opportunities for four composers, each with a different style and creative policy, to explore their own creations based on their respective viewpoints, while embracing the historical context of orchestral music and their perspectives on the future. Profile
[Orchestra Project]
On October 11, 1979, Akira Nishimura, Yoriaki Matsudaira, Shutaka Mizuno, and Kiyotomi Yoshizaki gave their first performance with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra conducted by Hideomi Kuroiwa. Since 1995, it has been held once a year with the cooperation of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. The performances in 1997 and 1999 received the Arts Festival Excellence Award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
With the aim of developing a movement for the creation and presentation of orchestral works, composers who agree with this aim hold an independent performance once a year on an independent financial basis to present new orchestral works.
