Business Overview

The Nishitama area is located in the westernmost part of Tokyo and has eight administrative districts (Ome City, Hamura City, Akiruno City, Fussa City, Mizuho Town, Hinode Town, Okutama Town, and Hinohara Village). In the Nishi-Tama region, where opportunities for children to experience culture and art are decreasing, the project aimed to provide an opportunity for the comprehensive guarantee of children's cultural rights by developing performing arts activities for children in all eight administrative districts, creating places for children to experience and promoting regional revitalization. In doing so, the Government placed importance on the existence of cultural activities in children's lives and livelihoods, implemented them in children's living areas (elementary school districts), and introduced free participation programs to address poverty in children's experiences. In addition to our association, we have built cooperative relationships with local organizations, governments, and companies to create a festival together. In addition to the stages in each administrative district, activities in each elementary school district developed a program rooted in the community. Puppet shows by the Hitomiza puppet theater troupe played a central role in the program, creating a common experience throughout Nishitama.
