Business Overview

Nihon buyo x Ryukyu buyo. This is a magnificent picture scroll of Ryukyu history that uses the techniques of classical Japanese dance and works with masters of Ryukyu dance. The performance titled “The Possibility of Japanese Dance, ” for which the Japanese dancer Rankan Fujima serves as artistic director, has been discovering the potential of Japanese dance through collaborations with various genres such as film, piano, and ballet since its first vol. 1 performance in 2018. This sixth performance is a collaboration between Japanese and Ryukyu dances. The epic history of Ryukyu is dramatized with unique interpretations. He created and premiered a new Japanese dance work.
