Business Overview

As the first chapter of the company's first long-term three-year project, "A trilogy that looks at life and death," Death and the Maiden was released. After the first performance in Paris in February and the triumphant return performance in April, the company performed the culmination of Death and Maiden at the company's main performance in November after a series of recreations. By reinterpreting the existence of the shinigami for the maiden in the original novel, the film tackles the universal question of what it means to live in this world for those of us who are all bequeathed by someone else. Synopsis "Praise of repose to the bereaved" People who share the common theme of "losing an important existence" are gathered in a certain space. As they talk about their experiences, each of them goes toward the investigation of the deep psychology that they are not aware of yet. Facing death and realizing again that they are alive, they each come to their own answers. Profile

【Tarinof dance company】
A contemporary dance company led by choreographers and dancers Maiko Hasegawa and Mamoru Sakata. Through Hasegawa and Sakata's unique physicality and delicate and powerful works, this film depicts from many angles the incongruity lurking in modern society and everyday life.

After returning to Japan, based in Tokyo, she continues to present her works in Japan and overseas, participating in dance festivals in Japan and overseas, providing choreography, teaching, and conducting workshops all over the country.
