Business Overview

The shakuhachi, which was introduced from the continent and continued to evolve uniquely in Japan and become recognized as traditional music, has been taken up by various musical fields and has expanded its range of activities to the present day thanks to the active activities and efforts of musicians with the help of composers and planners. In this performance, the variety, affinity, adaptability, and expressiveness of the shakuhachi were examined from a musical aspect by focusing on the 'scale' that appears in the music of the shakuhachi and taking up a wide variety of works. In addition, it was an opportunity to think about the future of the shakuhachi and shakuhachi music by listening to contemporary pieces, including ensembles, and new compositions by up-and-coming composers.

It was established in July 2018 with only professional shakuhachi musicians as its main purpose "To raise the value of shakuhachi music and shakuhachi players and contribute to the development and spread of Japanese culture" and registered as a corporation in April 2022. Recognizing the diversity and individuality of shakuhachi music, he continues to work with the intention of becoming a source of new shakuhachi music with flexible ideas and performance skills based on his abundant experience while deepening the research and improvement of the instrument itself, the research and analysis of music, and the sharing of information on playing techniques and instruction.
