Business Overview

The 36 th Ogikubo Music Festival held a total of 46 performances at 23 venues. It was able to recover to about 80% of the pre-pandemic level. Many of the venues were fully booked, indicating that the movement to enjoy music live is picking up again. The "Fresh Junior Concert" was held 11 times, and the children who were proud of their skills gathered together, and there were many scenes in which they showed their skills as if they were adults. We will continue to uphold the principle of "not a competition". The Ninth Mirai Dream Concert invited the brass band club of Tachihara-cho Daiichi Junior High School in Minamisoma City as it did last year. The Suginami Youth Wind Orchestra, consisting of junior high school students in Suginami Ward, was organized and participated in this performance. Through solo and joint performances, they deepened their interaction with each other and impressed many audience members. We will continue to work as a music festival in Ogikubo that makes Ogikubo easy to live in and makes people happy to live there.

Profile

[Association of Ogikubo, the Town to Enjoy Classical Music]
The "Association to Think about Ogikubo in the 21 Century" was formed to think and propose how to make Ogikubo easier to live in, such as the improvement of the area in front of JR Ogikubo Station and the surrounding environmental problems. From there, the "Ogikubo Music Festival" was started in 2000 with the concept of town development and revitalization of Ogikubo through classical music. Since then, an annual music festival has been held continuously.
