Business Overview

With the support of cooperating organizations, the theater company Gong widely recruited young people who had difficulty in living and had not yet found employment or attended school through demonstration workshops and leaflets. Through the experience of "creating a stage together with friends," they cultivated self-expression based on a sense of trust, fulfillment, self-affirmation, and diversity, and supported them toward social participation. After an orientation (individual interview), a total of 26 communication workshops using theatrical tools such as stretching and theater games were held to create a place where people can feel safe and trust each other. Based on the wishes of the participants, the production "My Picture Book" ~ Capu and the Wind of Liberty ~ was performed. They practiced the casting while respecting the wishes of the participants, and they practiced on the stage in public and presented 1 performance (performance time 1 hour and 30 minutes) at Gekidan Dogo Atelier. There were 12 participants. I experienced an authentic stage, including stage tools, props, costumes, lighting, and sound. In addition, from the design of the flyer and the pamphlet for the performance, the stage set, props, and costumes were decided, and they were completed in collaboration with the staff of the theater company Dogyo.
