Business Overview
This project was planned at Za Koenji, a theater located in Koenji, in order to convey the appeal of documentaries to the public without being bound by the framework of television and movies. The program director was Yutaka Yamazaki, a well-known cameraman, and the executive committee was chaired by Mitsuru Kasezawa, a film director. There are three screening categories: a special screening category, a guest selector category, and a competition category. In this year's special screening category, films were selected under the theme of "Democracy." In the guest selector section, films recommended by famous guests, including film director Hirokazu Kore-eda, were screened, with the aim of conveying to the public the appeal of documentary film culture by having various guests talk about the appeal of documentaries from their own perspectives.
