Business Overview

This is an event where people from Tokyo, who live under a sky where no stars can be seen, make "Shibuya's Milky Way" and enjoy music together. In connection with the Tanabata Festival on July 7, people wrote their wishes on tanzaku (paper strips), sending their thoughts to people far away who they could not meet. The orchestra, filmmakers, bamboo light decorators, children's dancers, art college students, directors, and visitors collaborated to create the show with the participation of everyone. Small workshops were held several times in March and June, and the participants worked together to create the stage production. From 11 to 15:30 on the day of the event, the visitors created the stage with paper and bamboo lanterns and yagura and bamboo portable shrines designed and made by the children, and welcomed the live and dance show. Even though the handmade Milky Way was dark, they enjoyed their own Milky Way by adding a performance to silence and darkness in the theme song. Half of the participants aged between 0 and 80 were in their teens or younger.
