Business Overview
A showcase performance was held at the Oji Small Theater in Oji, Kita-ku, Tokyo from Friday, January 5, 2024 to 9th (Tue.) for theater groups and individuals who have been active for less than 3 years or whose representatives are 25 years old or younger and are in their early stages of activity. 562 people were mobilized in 12 stages. It provided a place to gain experience and knowledge by the effect in the theater mechanism under the support of professional technical staff. In addition, we carried out a project to convey the attractiveness of the organization in terms of public relations, such as publishing interview articles and contributions using X and note, and disseminated it to a wide range of people. Kurota Gosuke (Kurozaru), Isaka Tomofumi, and Mizusawa Momoka (Hakoma Kenkyusho) supported the performance as staff members who were familiar with the structure of the Oji Small Theater while being involved in professional staff work. In addition, a wide open call was made for theater groups and individuals to participate, and 43 groups applied. After the selection of the person in charge, the following nine groups participated, divided into three teams based on the purpose of the project. Sato Shoji Co., Ltd.
Sato Shoji was established as a subsidiary of Sato Denki Co., Ltd. (Satodenki Co. Ltd.), a wholesaler of electrical materials in Kita Ward, Tokyo.
The director founded Oji theater with the thought of "Rather than turning the land in front of the station into a warehouse, let's turn it into a theater for young people to use.".
Since then, as a private theater in Tokyo run by theater people, it has been leading the theater scene in Tokyo while providing generous support for young people.
Since 2004, he has co-sponsored the Satohsakichi Festival, named after the founder of Sato Denki Co., Ltd. Since then, the theater festival has been held every two years.
Since 2019, he has been engaged in artistic production and production, focusing on theater.
