FY Reiwa 5(2023) 2nd Term Creation Grant Category I Single-Year Grant

Business Overview
Based on the theme of a part of "The Tale of Genji" (written by Murasaki Shikibu, circa 1000), Fukuhara Chizuru adds music to the waka poems in the story, reads aloud from her own script, and blends the music with corresponding performances. He also actively utilized traditional performance techniques. There is a foundation of expression in traditional performing arts and classical music, and there is a will to innovate and renew based on the achievements of predecessors. Musicians from different fields came together to collaborate with painters who use visual expression to create new values in art. Performance: Chizuru FUKUHARA (Recitation, singing, kotsuzumi (small hand drum), hiradaiko (flat drum), shimedaiko (closed drum), dora (drum), shamisen, etc.)/Shinma (taishogoto)/Shunsuke OGUCHI (Piano, accordion, field-recorded sound source sampling, etc.)/Akiko NAKAYAMA (Alive Painting: A fluid painting on the spot is projected onto a screen behind the stage with a projector.)
