In the TERRADA ART AWARD 2023, 5 finalists were selected from among 1,025 groups in Japan and overseas, as a result of selection by the jury with international perspectives and deep insight into contemporary art, with the aim of producing artists who will be active on the world stage in mind. The finalists created their original exhibitions based on the exhibition plan they submitted for the "TERRADA ART AWARD 2023" at the "TERRADA ART AWARD 2023 Finalist Exhibition," using the renovated warehouse in our company event space "Terada Warehouse G3-6 F," and presented their works including unpublished new works in a solo exhibition style. The TERRADA ART AWARD is a contemporary art award designed to support emerging artists. With the aim of producing artists who are active on the world stage in mind, this competition has been held with judges who have an international perspective and deep insight into contemporary art. The finalists were selected after examining the contents of the works and exhibition plans. Finalists will receive cash prizes to help with production costs and an opportunity to exhibit at the company's facilities.
Through the TERRADA ART AWARD, Terada Warehouse will weave a society in which artists can play an active role, and will do its utmost to support the career of the finalists, who have the potential to lead the art industry in the future, until they can transcend their own precedents in the art scene in Japan, spread their wings around the world, and establish their raison d'etre.
