Business Overview

The first film from the Xstream project, a new endeavor by Kitamura Akiko, who has made numerous international collaborations centered on fieldwork. A young artist living in the mountainous region of Luzon Island in the Philippines, and a Japanese filmmaker, musician and dancer co-star in this performance that questions the state of contemporary animism and shamanism. Choreographer, dancer, professor at Shinshu University
After studying ballet, street dance and Indonesian martial arts, she founded the dance company Leni Basso in 1994. In 2001, he released his representative work "finks". It is performed in more than 60 cities around the world.
Since 2010, she has been working as a solo artist on international collaborative research and creation projects with Indonesia and Southeast and South Asia.
Based on his "thinking of the body," he has been involved in creative activities, choreographing and appearing in plays, operas, movies, and commercials. At the university, he has conducted research on "the body as a medium" from the perspectives of body theory, direction theory, and dance theory.
