Business Overview

From the end of the 960s to the early 70s, the Japanese archipelago was in the midst of a period of rapid economic growth. Under the shadow of national events symbolized by the Tokyo Olympics and the Osaka Expo, resistance movements by students, workers, and ordinary citizens were being waged, and there was a great deal of fluctuation between the Japanese government and the authorities scrambling to stop them. This period continues to vibrate our lives as a heavy bass of social problems, even now that the polarized conflicts seem to have subsided. What can we learn when we take a critical look at the ideas, writings, and activities of the activists of that time who sought to change society and ended up with the bomb as a radical exercise in the theory of propaganda warfare? As a space to consider this unanswerable question, Heidorn Holzfeint held his second solo exhibition, "Letters from K."
