Business Overview
Praying for the restoration of Shuri Castle, which was destroyed by fire in October 2019, we see the connection between Ryukyu and Yamato performing arts. Both are classical performing arts, but they are works that ask how to live in modern times. The spirit of Chokun TAMAGUSUKI, the 'creator of kumi-odori,' appears in the rubble, and recollects the past by inviting a sakuhoshi (a Chinese envoy from Qing) to create a new performing art, 'kumi-odori,' influenced by Noh. In parting, he appealed for the restoration of Shuri-jo Castle and praised the role of entertainment in exchange.
