Business Overview
"Gamelan Mandala I" (2020) and "Gamelan Mandala II" (first performance in 2023) composed by Mamoru Fujieda are performed. In this performance, “Gamelan Mandala, ” which is a set of two pieces, was positioned as“ both worlds. ”. The gamelan was performed by Paragna Group, the only Sundanese music group in Japan. The dances are performed by Liant, Bovetaro, Miku Kawashima and Natsumi Sakusa, who have performed with Gamelan many times. A gong is placed in the center of the hall, and gamelan instruments are placed in a circle around it, representing a "mandala of resonance" to express the circular structure of the work. The audience surrounded the hall on all sides. Two pairs of male and female dancers perform as a symbol of yin-yang. It became an original work that embodied the world of Mandala while moving between instruments and spectators and took the whole hall as Mandala.
