Business Overview

The "neighborhood tour," in which the lion dance purifies houses one by one, which is considered to be the center of the daikagura performance, is reproduced at the "Powell Festival," a festival for Japanese Americans held every year in Vancouver. Based on the festival's aim of creating new value by adding Canadian culture to the base of Japanese culture, the festival collaborated with Toronto-based music group Ten Ten and consisted of lion dance by Ten Ten and acrobatics by Miyo Kagami. In addition to the performances on stage, a lecture on the history of Daikagura was given, and members of the public were also accompanied to visit the stalls participating in the festival and purify them with lion dances and acrobatics. They also performed daikagura acrobatics on stage at the festival and in the nearby city of Victoria.
