Business Overview
Acupuncture is a performance work incorporating acupuncture, created and premiered at Theater Commons' 21 (Tokyo) in 2021 by artist Ayumi Momose. This is a one-on-one experience between participants and an acupuncturist. Participants answer an original medical questionnaire prepared by Momose, and based on that, the acupuncturist interprets their condition and gives them acupuncture treatment. In addition to the performance of Acupuncture Acupuncture, a video and installation exhibition was held at the World Theatre Festival 2023 in Frankfurt. In particular, the video is a medium that Momose specializes in, and it is not just a recorded video of the performance, but an image of reliving the performance was incorporated so that viewers of the exhibition could experience the concept of the work. In addition to the performance, the exhibition was intended to encourage more people to appreciate the work.
