Profile

【The Shakuhachi 5】
The five artists continue to pursue not only classical but also modern expressions.
Akihito KOHAMA, Aoiyama KAWAMURA, Suzon KURODA, Akihisa KOMINATO, and Kenichi TAJIMA are members of a super school shakuhachi group. In 2020, a telework piece "Longing from afar" by composer Masaru Fujikura was recorded with his own conducting and released as a video. This is his practical debut. After that, he was commissioned to perform 'Shakuhachi Five' (Dai FUJIKURA), 'Sarasoki' (Akira NISHIMURA) and 'Kannon Anatomy' (Kyo MOCHIZUKI) for the first time.
