Business Overview
In this project, which is the first of its kind for the group, the group produced and presented a performance piece in response to the ideas of the philosopher Emanuele Coccia. The name of the project was coined from the word "osmosis," which means penetration. He tried to find a state in which physical expression and philosophy interpenetrate each other while moving back and forth between words and bodies. Prior to the performance, a series of lectures was held, combining a lecture by the philosopher Shimonishi Fusumi and a workshop on physical expression by the organizers. Rui Matsuba and Tatsuro Usami, the translators of Kotcha's latest book, The Philosophy of Metamorphosis, were invited as guests for the second edition. The presentation of the final results was held on November 26 and 27th as part of the "Philosophy Evening 2022" at Anstitue Francais Tokyo. Yuki Kobayashi presented his solo work "Boule in the Pool" and Saori Harasaori presented "Tender Confusion" by three young dancers. The two films were also staged in the same time and space, creating the experience of overlapping different contexts through the body. Yurika Kurimiya was in charge of the drama of the whole project.
