Business Overview
The fifth regular performance of Phidias Trio featuring Maiko Matsuoka on violin, Ryuta Iwase on clarinet and Erika Kawamura on piano. With the concept of “Connect the Dots, ” they realized a new attempt to connect the masterpieces of the New Vienna School, which Yasuraoka is said to have been greatly influenced by, with the works of up-and-coming composers active mainly in Austria, starting with the works of Akio Yasuraoka. Profile
【Phidias Trio】
Formed in 2017 by violin Maiko Matsuoka, clarinet Ryuta Iwase and piano Erika Kawamura. In past concerts hosted by the orchestra, the orchestra has featured outstanding modern clarinet trio works and premiered new works by young composers from Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Turkey, South Korea and Japan. He has also been invited to participate in a number of projects, including the Hanyang Contemporary Music Festival (Seoul, South Korea) and "Japanese Composers 2021" organized by the Japan Composers Council. In December 2021, she performed in the "Pegasus Concert vol.3" sponsored by the Japan Contemporary Music Association, and it was broadcast over 2 weeks on NHK-FM.
