Business Overview

Gagaku is a traditional performing art that has been handed down for more than 1200 years, combining traditional Japanese songs and dances with music from neighboring countries. We will continue the tradition correctly, and at the same time, we will challenge ourselves to create new works that incorporate modern sensibilities and new playing techniques, explore and discover new possibilities, and contribute to the development of gagaku. The purpose of this project is also to develop the planning ability as a performer, and it is structured so that both those who are deeply familiar with gagaku and those who are exposed to gagaku for the first time can enjoy it. In classical music, he selected a famous piece of high rank called "Kishunraku," and he will listen to the unique melody consisting of no beat in the preface and the melody consisting of slow beat in the hah. As for contemporary pieces, he performed "Gekkamon," a classical ryuteki flute solo work by Sukeyasu SHIBA, and "Soan no Kai," a Hichiriki instrument and biwa, as well as "Ame no Mori," a new work by Satsukinome Ai, a member of the association, and "Tai -SAI-," commissioned by Kumiko TAKAHASHI, a composer who can fully draw out the appeal of each gagaku instrument. You can feel the contrast between classical style and modern style.
