Reiwa 3 (2021) Tokyo Area Arts and Culture Grant (Second Application)

Business Overview

Initially, we envisioned the development of a completely contactless exhibition format utilizing an audio guide, but since the Tokyo Metropolitan Government was issued with priority measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus from January to March, we proceeded with research on the creation of an audio guide through workshops and other means, and exchanged opinions with people in the Ginza area based on the results. With the cooperation of Zen-Ginza-kai, which is a decision-making body in the Ginza district, street associations, and neighborhood associations, we held a workshop with artist Miya Nishio and audio guide producer Takako Matsuda as lecturers to "collect" people by observing them at fixed points and describing them verbally in real time. In the workshop, all participants walked around two alleys and then had free time to choose their own collection sites. They then listened to the audio and exchanged opinions.
