FY2 Reiwa 2020 2nd Term Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
Since 2013, AIR and art universities have been working together to create an environment where young artists and art university students can easily access AIR (Y-AIR). This project was carried out in collaboration with Youkobo Art Space, Tokyo University of the Arts, Acme Studios, a studio operating organization in London, and Central Saint Martins, London University of the Arts. At the turning point of the "London/Tokyo Y-AIR Exchange Program," which provides young artists who have recently graduated from art universities with a unique cultural exchange activity through residential works, we held an exhibition and an open forum with a summary of activities by young artists who have participated so far and university professors who are advisors of this Y-AIR Exchange Program. It was an attempt to evaluate the management of AIR and explore the limitless possibility of collaborative activities between AIR and the University of Fine Arts, through the expression activities of artists and their impact on subsequent activities. A total of 18 artists, 9 from Japan and 9 from England, participated in the exhibition, and the staff was jointly managed by the Aimitagai executive committee, consisting of Youkobo Co., Ltd., participating artists, instructors of the cooperating art university, and people in charge of AIR operation.
