The 2nd Startup Subsidy in FY 2021

Business Overview
A visual work created by Kono Sayoko (music/piano) and Shimizu Misato (choreography/contemporary dance) with the color "yellow" as their theme. This is an experimental trial in which a composer and a choreographer approach a single theme simultaneously and create works on an equal basis. Yellow is a lively and warm color associated with the sun, stars, rapeseed and sunflowers. On the other hand, it is also a color that evokes danger from railroad crossings, traffic lights, and signs. In Japan, there is an issue of hatred of Asians, and in the film industry, the "yellow filter," in which yellow colors are applied to depictions of conflict and poverty, has become a problem in recent years. In this film, the multifaceted nature of "yellow" is cut out using original piano music and contemporary dance, and a completely new "yellow" is proposed through location shooting and visual production that pursued the yellow landscape over a year.
