"Giselle," famous for its classical ballet works, is remade into a modern version by Tarinof dance company. Combining sophisticated dance with daily movements and dance-like body expression, it pursues an exquisite mixture of originality. He created a highly creative stage combining contemporary dance and storytelling. 【Tarinof dance company】
Tarinof dance company was founded by Hasegawa and Sakata in 2013. Based in Tokyo, he choreographed, performed, held workshops around the country, and organized international exchanges. He also worked on commercials, contemporary operas, and musicals. Both studied in Paris for two years and seven months under the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Study Program for Emerging Artists. He won first prize and special prize in many national dance competitions. He won first prize in the creative section of the Tokyo Shimbun National Dance Contest. Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. He received the Yamada Goro Prize. He won first prize at international choreography competitions held by France, Italy and the Republic of Serbia. MASDANZA, FINALIST. Won the ATOM THEATER (Bulgaria) Award at SCF Seoul International Choreography Festival. He was a finalist in Yokohama Dance Collection Competition 1 in 2018 and 2021. Through the powerful and delicate works created from the fusion of their sensibilities and their unique physicality, each work continues to depict the casual discomfort hidden in everyday life in multiple ways. Since its establishment, the company has performed more than 50 times in 20 cities in 7 countries.
