Business Overview
A four-month pilot program based in Yurakucho to create unprecedented innovation through interaction between the business district and artists. By widely disclosing the art production process in the city, we will induce various encounters with creative people, create opportunities for the emergence of innovation from a new perspective, and provide sustainable support for artists from downtown business districts. “Yurakucho Art Urbanism Program YAU ” consists of three elements:“ Studio ” (YAU STUDIO, Yurakucho Building 10th floor, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo), which is a base for artists ’ creative activities and a place for exchange; “Consultation Center ” (YAU SOUDAN, Kokusai Building B1F), where experts provide advice mainly to young artists who will lead the next generation; and“ School ” (YAU CLASS, Yurakucho Building B1F), where people who gather and work in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho areas deepen their various interests by interacting with artists and creating art. During the period, various initiatives will be made public.

【 "Yurakucho Art Urbanism Program" Executive Committee 】
The general incorporated association Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho District Town Development Council and NPO Daimaru Area Management Association operate YAU. In 2019, the Council established the "Art x Area Management Study Group" to discuss how to incorporate the creativity of art into cities from the perspective of area management. A new approach to town planning that integrates urban lifestyles with creations created by art was coined the term "Art Urbanism," a combination of "art" and "urbanism," and was formulated as a concept to be spread from the Daimaru area to other areas. "Yurakucho art urbanism program YAU" is a demonstration pilot program as the start.
