Business Overview
"Tokaidochu Hizakurige," a representative play of Edo Itoa Ayatsuri puppet theater, is performed again for the first time in 20 years. It aimed at future repertoire fixation. The synergy between the live narration of Shinnai by the young hope Taga Tayu Shinnai and the ukiyoe images projected in the background invited the audience into the world of Yajikita. Together with "Honcho Shijuko Okuniwa Kitsunebi no Kan" (Section of Honcho Shiju-Ko Okuniwa Kitsunebi), it is a double feature of sewamono and jidaimono, so that the audience who is not familiar with the classical literature can deepen their understanding and interest in Edo Itoayatsuri dolls and enjoy them more. In addition, young puppeteers were used in major roles, and this was a milestone performance as the first step in handing down the performance to the next generation.
