Business Overview

As part of the Art Market held in New York, USA, I was invited to participate in a showcase organized by the Japan Society, a window for introducing Japanese culture to the United States. Due to the spread of the omicron variant of COVID-19, travel to Japan was canceled, and the participants only participated via video, but they were able to show the current state of Japanese dance to the world.

Kujirai and Okuyama, who are originally from 2 major bases of dance that was born in Japan in the 60's and fundamentally changed the concept of dance, Tenjikan led by Kasai Ei and Dairakudakan led by Maro Akaji, respectively, established the company in 2019 with the aim of passing on dance and developing the next generation of dance. The duo's work "Aun Sansui" was invited to the 2019 Changmu International Festival in Korea and received favorable reviews.
