Profile

[Rika Nakajima]
Rika Nakajima studied contemporary art at Chelsea College of Arts in London, graduating in 2018. In 2019, he entered the Graduate School of International Art and Creative Studies, Tokyo University of the Arts. Nakajima's work takes multiple forms, from site-specific installations to performances to public interventions in urban spaces. She is interested in the concepts of liminality and betweenness and explores the cathartic function of art through gestures that point to the social construction of body and identity, exploring the non-binary relationship between the public and the private.
