Business Overview
Creators’ Cradle Circuit (3Cs) is a cross-border mobile performing arts project in which up-and-coming Asian performing artists cross borders and gather in Asian cities, cultivate their works while traveling together, and experiment with the value and expression of new performing arts. After two years of research to make 3Cs a reality, Karakoa and three project collaborators, along with six groups of eight artists from Southeast Asia, Japan and Taiwan, launched the inaugural season in July in Lui (Thailand) and September in Tokyo (Japan). In response to travel restrictions as part of COVID-19 prevention policies, 3Cs ’ participating artists stayed in their home countries and collaborated with local partners who served as remote bodies, creating a hybrid format that spans online and in-person activities.
