Business Overview

The play "Dark Master" was adapted and directed by talented playwright and director TANINO CROW, who won the 60 Kishida Kunio Drama Award (2016) for "Jigokudani Onsen Mumyo no Yado" and was strongly impressed by the original manga. Since its premiere in 2003, it has been performed in Japan in Tokyo, Osaka, Miyagi, and Toyama, and has been highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad. It was performed at Genevilliers in France as an official project of Japonismes 2018 in 2018, and was invited to the Oz Asiafestival in Adelaide, Australia in 2019. The film was remade as a theatrical production using VR and performed in two cities in the United States. TANINO Crow
Born in 1976 in Toyama Prefecture. He is the director of Penino, a garden theater company, and a theatrical playwright and director. Senior Fellow, Saison Cultural Foundation (until 2015). In 2000, he started a garden theater company, Penino, while he was in the medical school. Since then, he has written and directed all films. He has been invited to major theater festivals in Japan and abroad, mainly in Europe. In January 2011, he wrote and directed "Chekhov?" for a performance hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Theater. It expresses a beautiful spiritual world that is just a hair's breadth from madness and is well received. March 2015: Released his new work "Water Cage" in Germany. In 2016, he received the 60 Kishida Kunio Drama Prize for 'Jigokudani Onsen Mumyo no Yado.'. In 2016, he received the Kitanihon Shimbun Fine Arts Award and the 71 Arts Festival Excellence Award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. 2019: Received the 36 Toyama Prize for Culture and Art.
