“Tokyo Butoh Circus” is a dance festival to enjoy the diversity and possibilities of dance in Tokyo, the birthplace of dance. I think that the reason why buto has been accepted and appreciated in foreign countries is not only because it is a traditional secret performed by exotic Japanese people, but also because of its unique spectacle that has never been seen before. Under the theme of "Dance as a spectacle," 10 groups of dancers will present a wide variety of spectacular dance performances, which will make you realize the fun of dance once again.

His works, which seek for avant-garde dance expressions that evolve with the times, are highly regarded overseas.
The representative, Yuko Kawamoto, has been engaged in creative activities and popularization of dance with the motto of exploring the possibilities and diversity of dance by analyzing the dance of Hijikata inherited as a disciple of Tatsumi Hijikata. Also, with his thoughtful acting skills, he has expanded his activities outside of dance.
