Business Overview
This is a continuation of the artist residency that Music from Japan started as a new trial in 2016. Music critics and composers from Japan and the United States have been invited to participate in the program this season in order to contribute to mutual understanding and artistic enlightenment between participants from both countries through lectures, forums, and concerts, as well as online live streaming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 1) Concert I: "Exhibition of Works by Tomoko Hojo" 2) Concert II: "Exhibition of Works by Kazuya Ishigami" 3) Symposium "Japan and the United States: Experimental Music and Contemporary Society" 4) Composition Seminar: "Approach to Composition and Introduction of Original Works by Kazuya Ishigami and Tomoko Hojo"

【 Music From Japan Promotion Executive Committee 】
A voluntary organization established in New York to promote the Music From Japan, Inc. project, which introduces Japanese contemporary music, classical and contemporary Japanese music to the United States and the world. Over the past 46 years, the company has commissioned music from corporate composers and has held concerts and educational programs in New York, Washington DC, the United States, Latin America and Central Asia.
