Business Overview
A screening festival will be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, as a "new gateway to documentary filmmaking." Documentary filmmakers will be discovered and nurtured, and documentary filmmakers who have few opportunities to be screened, such as Tokyo-themed works and ethnographic films, will be widely introduced to the audience to create a "culture of watching documentaries" in which audiences and filmmakers gather, share, and mutually criticize documentary filmmaking that records the familiar world.

Neoneo was established in 2012 as a voluntary organization to disseminate information about documentary images, taking over the e-mail magazine that had been distributed until then. Since then, he has been publishing a documentary magazine "neoneo" and publishing articles for the web magazine "neoneo web," focusing on criticism and director interviews, and has been continuously operating to convey the appeal of documentaries. In 2018, the Tokyo Documentary Film Festival was launched to promote the appeal of documentaries directly to filmmakers and audiences.
