Business Overview
Baobab Wataru Kitao's repertoire work "UMU" has been invited to the world's largest dance market, Tanz Messe, and they have decided to go on a tour to take advantage of this opportunity. Baobab, as well as the next generation of contemporary dance artists, saw this opportunity as an important opportunity, and the tour members wanted to not only perform their works, but also actively participate in meetings and other performances, and experience the international network meeting itself. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the international tanzumesse itself was canceled, and the Baobab "UMU" tanzumesse tour could not be realized. Launched in 2009. The director, Wataru KITAO, choreographed, composed and directed all the works. They dance through an overwhelming group dance with a choreography that has a unique dynamic feeling of indigenous rhythmicality. In addition to 12 solo performances, he has participated in various national and international festivals such as Dance New Air, San Francisco International Arts Festival, and KYOTO EXPERIMENT. He is also involved in the planning and management of "DANCE×Scrum!!!" a dance festival for young artists.
