2019 2nd term Creation Grant [Single-year grant program]

Business Overview

The project consists of four projects: "art exhibitions" to display artworks; "events" such as performances, workshops, and discussions; "books" as a place for art criticism and expression; and "satellites" to connect various activities. The project was an attempt to go beyond the time and space constraints normally assumed. We planned and held a number of "satellites" that move out of the exhibition hall (fixed place) that started in the previous year and intervene in real society, in which multiple events are repeated simultaneously, and in which genres are released to create cross-cutting connections. Events were held intermittently at small and medium-sized spaces in various parts of Tokyo, and peaceful gatherings were also planned for the 23 wards from cities such as Tachikawa, Machida, Kodaira, Kunitachi, Mitaka, and Musashino, as well as crossing the municipal boundaries, in the emotional areas of Tokyo, such as sketching in Inokashira Park and outdoor walks around Mt. Takao and the Imperial Palace. Main contents: Exhibitions, performances, discussions, lectures, workshops, concerts, etc.
