Reiwa 2 (2020) 1st Term Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
This festival was started by documentary filmmakers to express what the existing media cannot convey. Screens were set up at izakaya bars in the city, and the people who made, served, and watched mixed, giving birth to ideas and actions for the next society. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic opened a Pandora's box for Japanese society and exposed various problems. Now in its fourth year, the documentary invited people who have embodied how to live in Japan amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and created a place to listen to their words along with videos. Seto Daisaku, a member of the Anti-Poverty Network, has called into question the "unfriendly society" that prioritizes self-help; Apollo, a rapper who has stood in the streets of Kabukicho, an entertainment district that is often seen as an enemy; and Ali, who has lived in Japan for nearly 30 years without being recognized as a refugee and has imposed restrictions on his movement. These are some of the voices of people who are facing issues that lie at the heart of today's Japanese society. A limited number of people were allowed to attend the event, and the video was syndicated online.
