Business Overview
This is the concluding part of a three-part series that focuses on the origin of the shakuhachi, "classical honkyoku." This article focuses on the music introduced by two giants of the shakuhachi world, Doso Kaido and Katsuya Yokoyama. Kanshu ISO Genmei, the 22 th master of 'Hakata Ischoken,' the origin of Doso KAIDO, was invited as a guest to perform 'Shika no Enon.'.

Profile
[Akihito KOHAMA]
He studied Koto-ryu shakuhachi and classical honkyoku under Toshimitsu ISHIKAWA. He completed the NHK Technical Training Association for Traditional Japanese Music. He passed the NHK Japanese music audition. He won the Shakuhachi Rookie of the Year Championship. He studied in New York with a grant from ACC. He has been invited to participate in many international music festivals such as the International Shakuhachi Festival, La Folle Journey, etc. He has performed in 36 countries. He released a total of 9 CDs including "LOTUS POSITION with Yosuke YAMASHITA" and "Koten Honkyokushu/Jakusei Koin". He is a part-time lecturer at Gakushuin University. He is a member of Komuso Kenkyukai (Komuso Study Group) and Nihon Shakuhachi Performers' Network.
