Business Overview

This project is the third in a series of self-planned exhibitions by art artists called "My Hole Art Hole," which started in 2014. In order to think about the foundation on which both the individual existence of "me" and the social system of "art" stand, Ishii Tomo and Takaishi Akira have examined the system and history that had been regarded as self-evident. In particular, they have been studying the open-air exhibition "Space Totsuka '70" held by Koji ENOKURA, Noboru TAKAYAMA, Hiroshi FUJII and Makoto Hanyu in 1970, which they regard as important for considering their own expression as art artists born in the 1980s, and have made it the core of this project. In the 2019 project "My Hole Art Hole," 3 exhibitions will be held based on these considerations. In the group exhibition "Unidentified area" (Venue: Space23°C) with past works and materials of Koji Enokura, Noboru Takayama, and Hiroshi Fujii, we will examine how the Ana works of "Space Totsuka '70" worked in forming the theme of their works. In addition, the two planners will present new works based on the results of their projects to date in their respective solo exhibitions, Tomo Ishii's "Enjoyukuplane" (venue: Capsule) and Akira Takaishi's "Descending Garden" (venue: clinic).
