Business Overview

"Onnyoro Seisuiki" was written by Junji KINOSHITA as a Japanese folktale based on Jo Sangai of Beijing opera. In addition to performing with puppets, actors, female gidayu, shamisen and musical instruments, Isshi-za tried to create a work of a completely different genre by combining Chinese Beijing opera and achieved success. It became one of the repertoire of the Isshitoza that could be performed again. [Ito-Ayatsuri Doll Hitoitoza]
The Ito-Ayatsuri Doll Hitoitoza was established by Yuki Kazuto, the third son of Yuki Magosaburo, the 10th head of the Yuki troupe, which has been running since the Edo period. As a troupe that authentically inherits the style of the Edo period, they also perform original new works in collaboration with classical works and contemporary artists. In 2015 he was invited by the University of Bologna in Italy to give symposiums, lectures and performances on the theme of "Tradition and the Avant-Garde". The troupe is also actively engaged in creating plays in collaboration with foreign companies.
