Business Overview

Ai Sugiura held her first solo exhibition in Lithuania, "Some Ways to Know Spring has Sprung." The venue was Si: said Gallery (Klaipeda/Lithuania), which has pioneered modern art exhibitions in Klaipeda, and this was the first Asian exhibition. I created an installation using photographs, sculptures, and other forms of expression of trivial moments and stories in daily life that I encountered during my stay in Lithuania. He also worked at the Nida Art Colony and held a three-dimensional art workshop with local children during his stay.

Profile

Sugiura Ai
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1982, an art artist. In 2007, he completed the Sculpture Course in the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Musashino Art University. Through the production of his works, he tries to create a new relationship between objects by giving a different perspective to everyday elements, reconsidering and reconstructing their original functions and meanings.
He has done research and exhibitions in Tokyo, Aichi and Osaka, and overseas in China, Taiwan and the United States.
He is also a member of the artist collective Sabbatical Company.
