Business Overview

(1) The 62 th Tachikawa Civic Cultural Festival Civic Cultural Festival Performance The Tachikawa City Cultural Association aims to "build a city with culture and kindness" under the slogan "Wider and Higher." The Citizens' Cultural Festival will be held in order to create a place to present the results of the citizens' artistic and cultural activities, to promote mutual exchange, to deepen friendship among like-minded people, and to contribute to a daily life filled with meaning and spirit. 11 local cultural associations in Tachikawa City and 7 other cultural groups will perform Ohashi, Guitar, Conjuring, Yokyoku, Ballet, Band, Hula Dance, Chorus, Jazz, Ukulele, New Dance and Karaoke. (2) The 9th Tachikawa Ittai Ongaku Matsuri 2020 With the cooperation of plazas, parks, and large stores in the city, it is an event to make the whole town (whole area) overflowing with music and to give the whole town a lively atmosphere, and to create it with the performers and the audience as one. For 2 days, about 200 groups of musicians and dancers selected through public applications and screening will perform live at about 20 venues in Tachikawa City. In addition, during the week prior to the exhibition, "Ittai Week" will be held at facilities for the elderly and welfare facilities, and "U.S. Air Force Pacific Band Pacific Showcase Concert" will be held at Tamashin RISURU Hall (Tachikawa City Civic Hall). This event is run purely by citizens, and most of the executive committee members, including the chairperson, are volunteers, and it is also characterized by the fact that the artists themselves are on stage. Local residents, ranging from children to the elderly, participate in the event.

[Tachikawa Ittai Ongaku Matsuri Executive Committee]
The Tachikawa Ittai Ongaku Matsuri Executive Committee was established in 2012 for the purpose of managing the Tachikawa Ittai Ongaku Matsuri, which aims to encourage everyone to enjoy music casually and become attached to Tachikawa, and to give life to the city. The festival is composed of individuals, musicians, music lovers, shop owners, and youth groups from within and outside Tachikawa City, and most of the members, including the executive committee chairperson, are citizen volunteers and artists who perform on stage themselves. The secretariat shall be established in the Tachikawa City Regional Culture Promotion Foundation.
