[First Year Project Overview] (1) Residency Creation & Meeting in Stockholm Contents: Japanese artists traveled to Stockholm to visit a local children's arts creation organization to learn about the performance environment and creative process for performing arts for infants and young children in Northern Europe, interviewed artists, producers, and directors, and published an activity report summarizing their research and observations. They received a lecture from Daria on the creative theory of performing arts for infants, rehearsed with Daria and local artists, exchanged their cultures and values, and explored and decided on the theme of a jointly created work. Resident members: 3 members of to R mansion (Uenozora Hanabi, Nozaki Natsuyo, Marumoto Spajiro), Noguchi Aoi (stage designer) Local partners: Daria Atin Selander and others Date and time: May 17th (Fri) - 30th (Tue), 2019 Venue: Royal Swedish Opera rehearsal room and others (Stockholm/Sweden) (2) Collaborative creation, work-in-progress and premiere performance in Tokyo Content: The invited artists deepened the theme through their stay in Tokyo and created an installation performance. The work-in-progress was made public and an after-talk was held. Feedback on the implementation experience was provided to be used in the premiere performance in June. Invited artist: Daria Achin Selander (work supervision and installation) Project members: 3 members of to R mansion (Uenozora Hanabi, Nozaki Natsuyo, Marumoto Spajiro), Yigal (musician), Noguchi Aoi (stage designer), and others, a total of 10 people Date and time: Saturday, February 15th - Sunday, February 16th, 2020 Venue: Kichijoji Theater rehearsal space (Musashino City, Tokyo) [Outline of the second year project] (1) Premiere performance, Performance ② in Tokyo Content: The group actively exchanged knowledge with experts in neuroscience, education, etc., and based on the insights and experiences they gained from their first year of residency research, production, creation and work-in-progress project, they addressed the issues identified in the feedback from the work-in-progress, and held a premiere performance and after-talk. Project Members: Three members of to R mansion (Uenozora Hanabi, Nozaki Natsuyo, Marumoto Spajiro), musician Egal, stage director Ken Yajima, and others, totaling 10 members. Date and Time: Friday, June 11–Sunday, June 13, 2021. Venue: Kichijoji Theater rehearsal space (Musashino City, Tokyo). (2) Archive. Content: The entire project history was compiled as an archive and published on a website. The website provides detailed information on the creative process and work-in-progress of Baby Theater, an international collaboration with Swedish artists, as well as insights gained from the performance. The website details Baby Theater's social significance, spatial direction and creative methods, and the experiences and insights of Baby Theater performers. The archive aims to not only recognize its value in society, but also be useful for artists in the same and other fields in their creative endeavors. It is a document that can contribute to the development of infant and toddler arts and culture. An online talk event was held, inviting the representative of a company that has been a leader in Japan's baby theater scene. In order to widely disseminate the significance and value of art for infants from various perspectives, the recording of the talk event was made available as an archive and can be viewed at any time. Founded in 2007 as a physical theater company by Uenozora Hanabi, Nozaki Natsuyo and Marumoto Supajiro. In 2009, he received the Tokyo Metropolitan Government License Heaven Artist. At present, he is often invited from overseas and has performed at theater festivals and festivals in 80 cities in 15 countries. In 2010, with the support of All Nippon Airways, his performance "Break" O "was selected as one of the top 20 performances among 1,082 performances by word of mouth. In 2014, he was invited to perform in 9 cities in France and Belgium. In 2016, he co-created The Wonderful Parade with a French lighting director and won the Setagaya Art Award in the Performing Arts Category.
